Before you call anyone
Septic Hamilton is a referral service, not a contractor. We explain how systems work and what things cost, then put you in touch with a licensed local company that does the work.
About Septic HamiltonQuestions people ask
Is Septic Hamilton a septic company?
No. We are a free referral service. We pass your request to one licensed local contractor: a hauler with a provincial approval for pumping, or a qualified installer for design and installation. They quote and do the work, and you deal with them directly.
How much does it cost to pump a septic tank around Hamilton?
A standard residential pump-out usually runs $350 to $600 before HST. Digging to buried lids, long lanes, a second compartment or an after-hours call add to it. See the pumping cost guide for what changes the price.
How often should a septic tank be pumped?
Most households pump every 3 to 5 years, sooner with a small tank, a big household or a garbage disposal. The real test is when sludge and scum fill about a third of the tank. Our pump-out calculator gives an estimate for your house.
Which areas do you cover?
Rural Hamilton (Ancaster, Dundas, Flamborough, Waterdown, Glanbrook, Binbrook, Mount Hope and upper Stoney Creek), all of Haldimand County, West Lincoln, Grimsby and Lincoln, Brantford and Brant County, and Norfolk County.
Sewage is backing up into the house. What do I do?
Stop running water (no laundry, showers or flushing), keep people and pets away from it, and send a request marked as an emergency. If there is an immediate health or safety risk, call 911.
